Each day became more difficult for my son and me. After my son’s father died in 2003, I then lost my job and became unemployed for two years. During this time we received lots of spiritual and emotional encouragement from the disciples here in Kenya, but I kept praying for God to open a way for me to get a job. He answered my prayers in July 2006. It was then I joined HOPE worldwide – Kenya as an administrative assistant.
I thank God every single day for giving me this job since through it, our lives have turned around. I’m so grateful for the leadership of HOPE worldwide - Kenya because they are committed to seeing that the people we serve are lifted and given hope. Every day, they are giving hope to hundreds of people in a hurting world.
I also thank God for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of such a great team. Since its inception, HOPE worldwide - Kenya has grown rapidly programmatically and numerically hence many jobs have been created, especially for disciples in the church. Through the work of HOPE worldwide, I’ve seen many lives touched and indeed my own life has been uplifted and I now have a new hope.
God is never far from us and when we call unto Him, He has promised to answer us (Jeremiah 33:3) and His plans for us are to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Today, I’m a living example having been lifted from despair to a living hope through HOPE worldwide - Kenya. My son and I are forever indebted to HOPE worldwide and we are very grateful for the sponsors, who have been giving sacrificially, to see to it that there is hope for the kids who are needy here in Kenya. They are indeed bringing hope and changing lives for hundreds of people who are suffering as a result of poverty or diseases.
God bless HOPE worldwide and continue advancing the work they are doing around the world to put smiles on many faces.
